About Me

Since I can remember, art has been my escape, my distraction from the stress of everyday life. Through my mere 17 laps around the sun, I have explored many mediums of art including painting, drawing, digital design, pottery, architecture, and I have finally settled with photography being my main means of expression. In my opinion, the ability to capture a single moment of time and share that with people is truly breathtaking.

In 2002 I was born in Gosford, Sydney but soon moved to the Gold Coast in which I've stayed ever since. In my few years of life, I have had the fortune to have been able to travel through Europe, America and see the Islands off Australias East-Coast. These beautiful places have given me the yearning to be able to share my memories of these places, and those that will visit in the future.

My main passions in photography are to be able to encapsulate the beauty in nature and capture the emotion of others which I have had the fortune of exploring through my schooling at Kings Christian College. My main interest is for macro photography, capturing the flora and fauna of the beautiful world around us. In this sense, photographer Michael Doe has been a great inspiration. His stunning capturing of peacock spiders is truly amazing, and his immense quality is something I strive to achieve.

Additionally, landscape photography is something I have always been drawn to, particularly sunsets - that special time of day where everything is peaceful and golden. Luke Tscharke, an Australian Geographic photographer is a true inspiration. His stunning sunrises and sunsets are absolutely breathtaking, and encourage and inspire me to strive to photograph landscapes to that esteemed quality.

Portrait photography has been a rather on-and-off passion of mine, probably because finding my niche took so long. In my portraiture photography, I have found that I am most interested in adding abstract or unusual aspects to my works to make them unusual and unique. Jingna Zhang captures the essence of what I strive to achieve with portrait photography. Her unique approach to photography emulates the abstract peculiarity I endeavour to achieve in my own works.

My enthusiasm toward abstract has however spilled over into my other art styles and thus I have created many experimental abstract pieces to explore this art style.

Into the future, I hope to continue experimenting in the different genres of photography whilst mainly focussing on photographing the beauty of nature. I will continue in the realm of portraiture but I hope to further experiment with incorporating abstract elements into all of my works. This creative outlet has truly been my lifesaver, my breath of fresh air among the suffocating stress of life. I hope my art brings as much good into your life as it does in mine.
